Whether you’re someone who has been visiting our shores for years or a new guest to the area, we’re sure of one thing: you’ll love autumn on the cape.
Often overlooked, fall in our area is a sight to behold! Known sometimes as the “second summer,” September and October feature incredible weather, fewer crowds, and so much to do. Keep reading to learn about some of the awesome events coming up! (You can also check out another one of our blogs all about the beauty of October on the Cape 🙂 )
*Please be mindful and double-check before attending events to be sure of their mask policies!
Calling all bookworms! Join us at this festival and enjoy 3 days of book readings, interviews with authors, lectures, and more. The best part? All of the events are free!
How lucky are we to be a pet-friendly hotel in a pet-friendly town! Be sure to check out the pet parades, all-you-can-eat fish fry, and pet T-dance. Get ready for a cuteness overload!
A long weekend in October dedicated to the Provincetown art scene – what more do you need? Join artists at parties and exhibitions, visit the marketplace, and enjoy live music! That’s right, the Washashore Music Festival is happening at the same time, and the two events are working together to create crossover events! You won’t want to miss it.
This event is hosted by women and sets out to celebrate women in the LGBTQ+. Well over 30 years of hosting this event has led to an incredible array of events, performers, and activities! After a quick look at the schedule, you’ll find whale watching, drag shows, and wine tastings – and that’s just the start.
Help us end our season the right way by joining us for Spooky Bear weekend! Coinciding with Halloween, this event includes themed parties, good food, and more. Also, you’ll find local artists and vendors, so you can rest assured knowing you’re supporting locals!
We hope that even if you’ve been visiting the Cape for years, you’ll consider coming for “second summer” next time you book your travel! We can’t wait to see you soon.
